We are looking east along T Ave. The camera I was using didn't have good exposure control, and so the sky is completely washed out. But the woods are really that dark in the late afternoon when the sunlight is sloping.

As much as I liked this photograph in color, I really prefer it in black and white because of the contrast between the sky and the woods.
