- Sunset #4
This is the shot. It's not your standard sunset shot. I am not a sports photographer by any means, but the addition of the goal post, which both lends a human element and draws us into the picture (it also draws our eyes upward), makes this an effective photograph.
- Sunset #3
As I was wandering behind the softball field, the back of this scoreboard kept catching my eye, because the sun would sometimes reflect off the back of it, depending on the angle between me and scoreboard. Such moments are fleeting, and you have to move quickly. This shot might have been better if I had been standing on top of a ten-foot ladder.
- Sunset #2
Again, another standard sunset shot, this time in town. This was approximately half an hour after the earlier shot, which lent some beautiful golden hues.
- Sunset #1
Here it is—your standard sunset shot. Unfortunately, a power line got in the way. It is almost impossible to get a decent shot like this in the country today without trampling through somebody's field.
- Break Time
A forgotten basketball hoop on the end of the outbuilding.
- this beginning is the end…
Rust on the wall of the outbuilding behind the service bay.
- there is no power here…
The evening sun reflects off an electrical meter on the side of an outbuilding behind the service bay.
- The old door
The sun peeks from one entrance to the showroom to the other.
- Inside the showroom
The old showroom, shadows and reflections
- Behind the showroom
The evening sun peeks around the front corner of the showroom.
- The service area
The entrance to the service area. The old key dropoff box is still there.
- The old showroom
The old showroom, with offices above. Both are now empty.
- this is the end…
How long will this building remain? How long until it is demolished, without warning?
- Halloween was here
A paper skeleton, a holdover from its use as a Halloween haunted house, looks out the front of the showroom.
A single set of stairs at the front of the showroom lead to offices above.
- Beside the showroom
Weeds make a home where passersby once peered in to see new cars.
- Behind the offices
Wooden pallets lean against the rear of the building.
- Behind the service bay
The rear of the service bay is almost identical to the front.
- Behind the showroom
Extra service bays behind the showroom.
- The service bay
The east end of the service bay, where cars were parked once their oil was changed.
