I have not made a lot of use of the night function on my little Fuji point-and-shoot, and decided to get out and try it. The results were not good, for the most part. Unless a scene is brightly and evenly lit, you're probably going to need a tripod.


This picture almost came out okay. It was a little blurry, but not so terrible that I couldn't clean it up a bit afterward. I tried several different shots to get the composition just right, but I needed to be very close to the ground and my knees were not happy about that.



What initially caught my eye was that the plastic was both transparent and wet and almost sparkled in the light from the distance. I got fairly close to making the photograph I wanted to make, but this isn't entirely it.
